Returns and cancellation
You can change your mind for 14 days
You have 14 days from the day after your print is delivered to cancel the order, and you do not have to give a reason. This is your legal right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and nothing on this page takes it away.
If you have ordered more than one print and they arrive separately, the 14 days run from the day after the last one arrives.
Prints are made to order, so if you do change your mind, telling me quickly may mean the print has not been made yet. That is a favour rather than a condition — your right to cancel is the same either way.
How to cancel
Email anthony@xuereb.co.uk and say you are cancelling. Any clear statement will do; it does not have to be on a form or in particular words. Including your order number and the date it arrived helps me find it, but their absence is not a reason to refuse.
If you would rather use a form, there is the official one: download the model cancellation form, or copy it from the bottom of this page. You are not obliged to use it.
You can also write to me at [POSTAL ADDRESS — TO CONFIRM].
Sending the print back
Send the print back within 14 days of telling me you are cancelling.
You pay the cost of sending it back. I would suggest a tracked service — until it reaches me you are responsible for it, and proof of postage is what settles an argument about a parcel that has gone missing.
Please pack it as it arrived, in the tube or the flat mailer. A print that arrives back creased or scuffed can be refunded at a reduced amount to reflect the loss in value, which is the only deduction the law allows, and one I would rather not have to make.
Your refund
You get back everything you paid, including the delivery cost that was included in the price. I will refund you within 14 days of the print arriving back with me, or of you showing me proof that you have sent it, whichever comes first.
The refund goes back to the card you paid with. There is no fee and no restocking charge.
If the print is damaged or wrong
This is a different thing from changing your mind, and it costs you nothing. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described and of satisfactory quality. If a print arrives damaged, or it is not what you ordered, email me a photograph and I will send a replacement or refund you in full. Do not pay to return anything — I will arrange and pay for the return if one is needed at all.
A print will read slightly differently from the image on your screen — screens emit light and paper reflects it, so colour reads deeper and quieter on paper. That is a fact about printing rather than a fault, and it is exactly what the 14-day cancellation right is there for if the difference disappoints you.
