A series of painted aphorisms. Short lines which are borrowed, adapted and reworked. The works are about the space between who we are and who we could become.
Light is something to bring forward. Shadow is something to bring forward, not to celebrate it, but to see it, understand it and work with it.
Intended as prompts for examination. Small reminders to look inward, become more aware, and move forward as desired.
These works have developed alongside an ongoing reading of Jung, Marie-Louise von Franz, Edward Edinger and Marion Woodman, the Stoics and Schopenhauer, and the Greek philosophers.
